Our Newest Family Addition

Although she can be a bit bashful before the camera, I thought I'd share some pictures of our newest family member - Oreo Anthusa. Oreo because of the black and white coloring. Anthusa because we got her on St. Anthusa's feast day. Since St. Anthusa was a hermitess for a portion of her life, the name is somewhat fitting because Oreo is the only bunny in the hutch.

Oreo was given to us by our next door neighbor who raises lop eared rabbits. Evidently, this is a difficult time to sell rabbits; therefore, she had a surplus of sorts.

Who knew the bunny market is subject to fluctuations?!?

This last picture also shows the family members who usually show a particularly keen interest in Oreo. I believe that if they could have suggested a name for her it might have been "Food" or, perhaps, "Dinner."
