Diversification of the Southern Baptist Convention

Headline and first paragraph of a story on Reuters:

Southern Baptists elect American Indian as leader

INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) - The conservative Southern Baptist Convention elected an American Indian as its president on Tuesday in a sign the historically white denomination is starting to diversify.

Hmmm... Makes you wonder if, one day, they might say it is okay for God to admit a Catholic to heaven. Nahhhhhh... that's just silly.

I apologize to anyone whom this might offend who is willing to admit that Catholics are Christians. ; )
