Just when you thought your neighbors had succeeded in calling their newborn the most "unique" (you may substitute "odd" for unique here) name yet, I'm here to tell you that it is nothing compared to what some little girl from New Zealand has been strapped with for nine year. Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii. That is not a sentence, that was a little girl's name.
The girl's name became known to Judge Rob Murfitt during a custody battle for the girl. It was at that time that he made her a ward of the state so that her name could be changed. Of the matter Judge Murfitt said, "The court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment which this child's parents have shown in choosing this name. It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap, unnecessarily."
Her new name has not been made public.
